Donya attended Evans World Travel School in Longview, Texas, during high school and gained valuable experience working at a travel agency in Amarillo, Texas, called Cocreative Travel. During that time, she also handled government travel for Pantex in Amarillo. Later on, she transitioned to working with Northwest Airlines, and when Wescott sold out, she became an employee of Delta Air Lines.
